There is no known recorded painting with the title Moonlight, Camp on the Little Big Horn—Montana. A painting of this scene bearing the title of Early Moonlight on the Little Bighorn, Montana and with almost the same measurements was exhibited in Cincinnati at the Traxel Art Galleries in November and December 1923. The exhibition was titled Indian Paintings and Western Landscapes and Sketches in Africa and Spain. However, this may be confused with another work with the same title (related image 269).
